Who can attend?
The WSTNet Web Science Summer School 2016 is for PhD students from all over the world. Post-Docs and students doing their master's are also very welcome.
Primarily, you should take great interest in the Word Wide Web as a socio-technical system. It is not required to have profound knowledge in each topic, but you should be interested in the methodology and scope of the involved disciplines. After all, you will work in multidisciplinary project groups where everyone brings in his or her individual expertise. It is advantageous to have some very basic knowledge in computer science.
English language proficiency in listening and speaking is required (level B2 on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
Participants from University of Koblenz-Landau
Any members from the University of Koblenz-Landau (including students, scientific and nonscientific staff) are free to attend the keynotes without registration.
